Ciconia Ciconia White Stork

Ciconia Ciconia White Stork
By Andrea Petrlik Huseinović

Holla, I am back with another book from my favorite author Andrea Petrlik Huseinović. I got this book from here, the illustration of this book was made by the author itself, edited by Ranka Javor, and this book Also available with French, Mecadonian, Portuguese, and Spanish languages. This story first published in 2003.

This story is about a whit stork, the representative of some kind. How this animals lost their homeland, because of war in Croatia. Cigoc, the place that the stork belong. SO, in this place almost on every rooftop one can notice a stork nest. In 1994, The Euro Nature Foundation declare the village of Cigoc the European village of stork.

The irony and satire about Impact of the war had occurred in Croatia. This story is very interesting because if we the readers can sense the meaning, this story is not just the antics of the author. We can also find how the speaker is also the stork, disoriented lost its way to find its homeland. We know that these poor animals are silent witnesses and victims of the atrocities of war that has been done by humans. Greed is erratic and detrimental to all things, and of course also had an impact to this animal.

Interestingly, the author present this story in a fun way. Children can learn how they increase the sense of caring about environment so this cruel will not happen in the future. Indeed irony, but in different point of view.

Thank you for reading my short review about this story, and don’t forget to leave a comment.

The Blue Sky

The Blue Sky By Andrea Petrlik Huseinović

This Children book is written by Andrea Petrlik Huseinović a croatia author this book is translated by Ludwig bauer and first published in 2001. The book is about A sad and lonely little girl dreams of seeing her mother again as she watches the clouds in the sky. One day, she meets a strange bird who helps the girl return to her mother.

Have you ever read The Blue Sky story before? If you ever read it, how is your felling? When I read this book at the first time, I feel so blue just like the title of this book. I think this book is very interesting and suitable for children to read. Before I tell you why this book is good for children, I would like to explain you what this story is about.

This story tells us about a sad lonely little girl who lived in a city, in a tall skycraper. She was only ten years old and was completely alone. She used to watched the blue and the clouds through the window. this girl imagine that she talked to the birds everyday and this is not made her lonely anymore. She had someone to touch with her small hand, someone to whom she could talk about the time she was happy.

One day, she discovered that a snail lived among the clouds. after the snail, the mouse appeared. this mouse made her remember the day when her mother used to told the fairtale bedtime story. after that an elephant with the blue birds appeared among the clouds. I like the way that the narrator told reader how the creatures bring back the memories with that little girl with her mother. Imagination the girl created made her feel happy and sad in the same time.
